Arborvitae Essential Oil

Also referred to as the “Tree of Life,” the Arborvitae is an enormous tree full of benefits. We source our arborvitae essential oil directly from the Thuja Plicata tree; commonly known as the Western Red Cedar. It is a North American species found in the Northwest and in Canada. Arborvitae trees were a favorite resource of the Native Americans, who used them to create several wooden structures, such as totem poles and canoes, as well as for the inherent wellness benefits. It has natural wood preserving properties which make it an excellent ingredient when making wood preservation products.

Uses:
Apply a couple drops to ankles and wrists while hiking
Place in a diffuser when meditating for increased calm and peace
Place in diffuser to repel insects inside and outside the home
Mix 2-3 drops in a spray bottle with water to use as a DIY cleaner

Directions for Use:
Diffusion: Place 3-4 drops in a diffuser
Topical use: Apply 1-2 drops, dilute with doTERRA Fractionated Coconut Oil to the area needed.

ARBORVITAE ESSENTIAL OIL RECIPES

Into The Woods Diffuser Blend
Ingredients: 1 drop Arborvitae, 1 drop Cedarwood, 2 drops Frankincense
Instructions: Combine all essential oils. Add to a diffuser of your choice. Relax and enjoy the invigorating outdoor aroma.

Trick-or-Treat Roller Blend
Ingredients: 2 drops Arborvitae, 2 drops Frankincense, 2 drops doTERRA On Guard, Fractionated Coconut Oil
Instructions: Combine essential oils and add to roller bottle. Put Fractionated Coconut Oil on top. Apply topically to nape of neck or soles of feet.

The Lumberjack Blend
Ingredients: 2 drops Arborvitae, 2 drops Cedarwood, 2 drops Hawaiian Sandalwood
Instructions: Combine essential oils and add to roller bottle. Put Fractionated Coconut Oil on top. Apply topically as desired.

Toning Beard Oil
Ingredients: 3 drops Hawaiian Sandalwood, 2 drops Arborvitae, 2 drops Ginger, 2 drops Lavender, Grapeseed Oil, Fractionated Coconut Oil
Instructions: Combine essential oils in eye dropper vial. Fill rest of bottle with ½ Grapeseed Oil & ½ Fractionated Coconut Oil. Apply and work into beard as desired to tame and tone.
